The handbook presents the experience of implementing cultural initiatives in the framework of the From Destruction to Creation. Ways of Reconciliation in the Ukrainian Society Project fi nanced by The Federal Foreign Offi ce of Germany. The project was implemented by Non-governmental organization Integration and Development Center for Information and Research in partnership with the Representative offi ce of the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV International) in Ukraine.

The initiative is based on the results and is a logical continuation of the Mutual Future of the Ukrainian SocietyAfter Maidan. Facilitating Mutual Understanding and Cooperation in Confl ict Prevention Project and is aimed at the development of partnership and cooperation approach in local communities through the implementation of diverse cultural initiatives aimed at deconstructing stereotypes, building mutual respect and strengthening trust.

May 2011: The second edition of the collection of children's folklore entitled "the cradle of Crimea" has been published. The first edition was created by the Centre for Ethno-Social Research with help from editors of specialized literature in the languages of national minorities of Ukraine. The book was published at the request of the State Committee for Information Policy, Television and Radio; and with financial support from the International Fund "Revival" (part of the program "Integration into Ukrainian society of Crimean Tatars, Bulgarians, Armenians, Greeks and Germans, who have experienced deportation) and Stelisa Elliniadisa, chairman of the International Center for Cooperation in the field of study of Greek music and culture (Athens, Hellenic Republic).

The second edition has been published with the assistance and financial support of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities as part of the project "Support for Intercultural Education in Crimea" (Phase IV, 1400200) and from the Integration and Development Center for Information and Research.
